About Miniature Books

Minibibliophiles collect miniature books- books which do not exceed a measure of three inches in height or width. What is their appeal? Miniature books are easily described as fine art and sculpture done in a very small scale, small enough to be held in the palm of one's hand. These tiny volumes are prized for their rarity, as well as for their exquisite craftsmanship and their content. Yes, they are meant to be read.

Why Far Enough?

In 1998 my husband and I moved to a wooded area of Westerville, Ohio. While house hunting, the stone pillar at the end of the driveway, Far Enough, was an sign, both literally and figuratively, that our search had ended. After establishing a 215 sq ft studio in our new home, it was immediately dubbed “The Studio at Far Enough” by family and friends. Since retiring from teaching in 2004, I have been able to devote full time to the arts, spending the majority of my time binding books in my studio at Far Enough.            ~Nancy
